    Aston Martin road car lap of Silverstone GP circuit

    Reminds me of occasion a few years ago when I was at motorsport industry event being held in the wing at Silverstone. During a plenary presentation by McLaren a car began circulating around the circuit — the noise almost drowned out the speech. Folks drifted to the balcony to get a view. Assumption was ir would be a McLaren road car apt given the speaker but amusingly when it flashed past on the next lap it turned out to be a fast lapping Aston Martin Valkyrie that was upstaging McLaren’s man.
