    Timing issues with Pertronix

    68 911L stock 2 liter ignition timing.
Anyone familiar with aged Pertronix ignition systems and its affect on efficient ignition timing. Still struggling with rapid advance at startup from a static 5 deg BTDC resulting in 30 deg advance and 1600 rpm idle? MSD with tach adapter and Blaster coil. My system is 15 years old and has worked fine, is it time for replacement?
    Any help is appreciated .
