VIN v Engine do they match the build time frame

What is the view on Vin ending in 1074 a 73E 5 speed MFI car out of germany having an engine number ending in 1625

Are those numbers too far apart for the engine to be the original engine to the car?

    Views please

I believe this could be original. The serial # bounce around a bit due to having a significant # sitting on the floor to choose from, and they were unconcerned about choosing items in serial order.
If needed I could purchase the data on the car.

    I sent you a message
I have that one in my database and a few around it and they all seem to be consistent
