    Need to know 911S 2.2 CO2 Emissions

    Can anyone help me?
I'm importing a 911S 2.2 from the Netherlands to Portugal.
In Portugal there are high taxes on imported cars if they are registered after 1 January 1970, as is the case with this car I'm importing.
The amount of import tax is based on CO2 emissions (g/km). So what I need to know are the emissions of a 911|S 2.2 with MFI.
    Does anyone know?

It's hard to believe this proposed importation is a matter of first impression. Check the records and see what the last one said on their application and maybe use that #.

Do they just mean what we used to test them for at idle? If so about 2.5% at idle. (from memory)

The 1970 2.2 T had a CO2 emission of 238 g/km. CO2 emissions are almost directly related to fuel consumption. The S had a fuel consumption about 20% worse than the T, so a good estimate is 286 g/km. Basically the same as my 434 hp 2.9 litre twin-turbo V6 2023 Macan GTS which has the same gas mileage.

Fuel consumption hasn’t changed much (we just get bigger, faster vehicles for the same mpg), but engine efficiency certainly has!

What Ravi says is certainly in the ballpark. You could take the official fuel consumption figures for 1971, and simply multiply that with 2.392 kg/liter (which is a figure I found online in a Top Gear article -- there may be more official values). So e.g. 8 km/liter, is 0.125 * 2.392 = 299 g/km.

They don't have an exemption for classic (> 50 years) vehicles?

Moved to Technical. Did the MY 1969 cars have a rear window emissions sticker like my MY 1972 (US) car does? Would be happy to provide a photo as “representative”.

Intake air temperature has an influence on CO as shown in this graphic in factory technical specifications booklet
