    Question Turbo Tie Rods

I have updated the tie rods on my 70 E to the turbo style. My question du jour is where does one install the thick metal washer that comes with the kit and how/where does the rubber boot secure to on the outer portion of the tie rod?

The large washer goes between the tie rod and steering rack. As for the boot, there should be rubber ring with a groove along the outside already installed on the tie rod. The outer end of the boot fits onto that. No outer spring like the old style.

Here is an image from the parts list showing the turbo tie rod assembly.
