    Mysterious engine cooling metal sheet

    Hi,

When I took off the shroud of my 2.2t engine, this part fell off. It seems that it was once riveted to something but I don’t know to what. I don’t know if it was riveted from factory.

I am going to have the engine metal sheets media blasted and if this part needs to be rewelded to another metal sheet I’d rather have it done before.

    Thanks for you help,

    Phil

I think it’s the piece that slides down between #6 cyl and oil cooler, the black piece in pix.

    Hi,

Thanks, I think you are right. I’ll rivet it back once it’s painted.
