    Sounds like whoee to me

    I was told that the front suspension cover plate, which attaches behind the front pan, actually adds enough additional rigidity to improve cornering. T of F? My vote would be F since it is held on by a measely 4 bolts. (the car came from the PO w/out, so I now have one but it is being blasted and painted).

    What do the powers that be say?

    I suspect that might be true if one were to weld the pan in place. Otherwise, I think it's minimal if any.

    I don't know about rigidity, but I'm thinking it would reduce wind drag...in other words, you'd have a bit more drag without it...
