    Rear Bumper Reflectors

I have noticed that many of you have those little plastic reflectors in the Rr. Bumpers mainly in the cars that does not have the deco trim . I have a 912 1968 with the Narrow Deco trim that covers all the Rr. Fascia until the start of the Chromed Bumpers so if I want to use the original reflectors with the Black Plastic Housing I will need either to cut the reflector's housing or the Deco trim rubber So I am trying to find a suitable Design solution to this enhancement . I believe that those little plastic reflectors could be installed between the Rr. Chromed bumpers (where the Rr. Lic. plate sits) or somewhere below the Rr. Fascia.

    Any suggestions ? .

    Joe,

Do you have a picture of the back of your car? Before getting too involved, you might want to drop one of your rear facia (where the deco strip is mounted) and verify that you have 2 cutouts in the facia where the 2 reflector bolts are mounted through. If so, then you could trim the deco strip width of the reflector and mount. (measure twice or thrice and cut once.) If your car originally didn't come with them, and it is a historically significant car you may not want to trim the decos. A pic would be helpful.

    Rear Reflectors Question?

    Rick :

My car came with the rear reflectors , however when I bought the new Rr. Deco trim from Performance Products this came without the provisions for the reflectors , however I remember that the "old" reflectors where attached to the Deco Trim with some Plastic Flange between the Metal Deco and the Fascia Metal , I do not remember seeing any mechanical attachment to the Fascia . I will look in the Fascia to see if there is a "cut out" in the Material of the Metal Fascia .

    Thanks for the input !

PD I do not have photos yet !.
