Your going to have to like the color scheme.
They are all the same color in and out.
With special numbered plates to tell which of the 50 they are.
The factory rep at the parade told me that Porsche will be keeping #1 or 50.
He also said that if you are a current PCA member as of June 1st. their will be a free drawing for one of these models and a very lucky member who registers will be the winner.
This is no bull.........you will find this in your next Panorama with directions on how to enter. I guess I just lessened my chances.![]()

A couple of photos I took. I've certainly registered but would'nt it have been oh so special if it had been a GT3RS Club Coupe - but I guess getting that model into the states so that it could be road registered would have been a wee bit of an issue.
Ah well, I'll cope if I win !

Hey, if I win? I'd finally have a car I'd be willing to sell to Frank...(edit) Which issue of PANO is supposed to contain the contest?

I think they may keep their value marginally better than the other "Special Edition" models that Porsche has put out over the years, due to the small number being built, but I personally would not have one unless they gave it to me. For that kind of money, I would want a GT3 or better, with a true dry sump engine.Originally Posted by fg1227

That's why I like my car. Purchased in 1986 for $9,000 (bargained down from $10,000!). Now worth more! Better than I can say for ANY other car I've owned.

I'm not sure about that, Dave, unless the USD devalues another 50-100% during the next 10 years! On an "inflation-adjusted" basis, she's already down way more than 50% on her "investment." I'm not really convinced that the '89 Speedster is ever going to have the cachet of the old ones.Originally Posted by TRE Cup
