Nicely kept car. Permatune CD, standard seats, cracked RR rub strip, black wiper arms, otherwise perfecto!!
note: not ALL of the above are faults, just observations in some cases, i.e. seats...![]()

At least EC didn't drop the motor and repaint the engine compartment and call it original paint.![]()
Really looks like a nice, original car. I would love to sit down and look through that pile of paperwork for fun.![]()

Yep, looks like the real deal to me. A shame it's a Targa...Anybody care to post the asking price? BTW, if memory serves, Warren Hall, the Pelican electronics expert, mentioned that the blue permatunes were the early ones, not epoxy filled. This backs up the low miles, since permatunes don't last long. The original owner was probably shocked at the $1,000 replacement cost of the Bosch CDI, and nobody was rebuilding them back in the mid 70's. Today, with a good core, you can have the Bosch CDI rebuilt for around $225, to "better than new" specs.

Here's the guy who supplies many of the SoCal area shops. He needs a good core for exchange. I had one rebuilt here, but a friend needed one, so I sent it to him. Then I found a still functioning used unit that I carry as a spare...My friend has been running the rebuilt for over a year now, everything working well.

Does that seem like a bit much for a Targa S?....or is it just the good ol 'what the market will bear' pricing at work?![]()
