So now the skyrocketing early 911 prices have spread to early 911 posters. What next?

Those prices are not at all out of line with where the market has been for quite some some time on early, large format original factory posters. Pricing is driven by rarity, desirability and condition, condition, condition...and has little or no connection to actual car prices in my experience in collecting these.Originally Posted by elfer

An interesting note...I purchased the "large format" (11" x 18" closed) 67S brochure from Paul Lang at Dunkels/LA lit show a few years ago...I asked if he had anything else, and he sold me some of the original "negatives", (actually they are "positives") from that photo shoot. I have 3 of them, I suppose I should have them copied at some point in time.... I'll share them when I get a chance.Originally Posted by Hoffen

The '66 Monte, '68 Targa (Elford), & the '66 Sebring are really the only deals there, although they're pretty close to market value like Hoffen says. Most of the others like the '87 Porsche Cup (Price: € 170) are seriously overpriced.

I was referring only to the showroom sales posters, which seem pretty much in line.Originally Posted by ej11hhf
I just took a look at the racing posters section, though, and I agree with you there. A real mishmash, with alot of mislabeling of photographer vs. designer, some priced close to market (no deals, IMO), but most of the post Strenger era items priced far above what those actually go for. Perhaps they have thoughtfully included the substantial Swedish tax rate in the asking prices?![]()
They do have an original 101 x 76 of one of the series of 3 McQueen 908 posters, which are pretty rare, albeit at a price to match.
I wonder if you could download an image such as the ones posted, and then use one of those autofill packages that adds pixels to make a big screen higher -res version for your computer?
Anyone else starting to believe that these early 911's are even more beautiful than advertised ?
