Used RS Piston Dilemma- engine gurus please help

I have the opportunity to buy a set of five, yes only five 90mm domed Mahle pistons with valve notches. I am assuming that these are the factory RS 2.7 pistons.
I can get them cheap - is there any point in buying 5? Will I ever be able to buy a single?
I can also get a set of good 90mm Nickie's cylinders from a CIS car. What are they worth and are they compatible with the RS pistons or J&E's?

Im pretty inexperianced, so any help is appreciated.

Also, is there any market for stray 2.0 liter and 2.2 liter "S" pistons and cylinders?

If it was me I would go for the Nickies and JE's.(actually I did for my 2.8 S motor) This way you can run your compession up to 9.8:1 on single plugs as opposed to the RS pistons that are only 8.5:1.

Nickies usually run about $2800 for a new set. JE's run about $1000.

The RS sets are good call if your main focus is longevity and if you want to use regular gasoline.

    Price check:
You can get a new set of Euro RS P+C's from Dart Auto for $1800.

Hello: I have a set of 90mm 2.7 piston and cylinders in great used condition if you are interested. Compression is about 9.5:1 depending on your heads etc. The pistons are Cosworth forged(very strong and light). The cylinders are Mahle nikasil in great used condition.Let me know. Thanks Eric

They had some scuffing on the skirts. Otherwise seemed fine with some carbon buildup on the crowns.
I just hate to see them get pitched.
