wOw! WoW! WOW! Very nice looking piece...it's time to put my car indoors soon for the winter's tinkering. Been wanting to get back into that part of things for the winter a lot lately given the cold, wet climate up here now. Please maintain a photographic update on the rest of the project.![]()

I think you mean black fan housing not shroud. The engine shroud is red.

yea my bad "housing" shroud should be red/green/yellow unless later yr or RS but red in this case "S" engine

Barenstam, it looks very nice. Did Henry overhaul your MFI as well or was that sent out?
When I bought my car it came with a supposed 2.8 engine. Turns out it was a funky 2.2E case with 2.7 pistons and no fuel system at all. In order to get my car back to it roots I searched for the 630xxx case and all the necessary "S" parts. Heard good thing about Supertec and spoke with Henry. Turns out he had all the correct pieces to put together a real 2.2S engine. I'm not certain why he chose to finish the fan housing in black rather than the natural finish. I'll see when the engine finally arrives. Mean while I have to continue working on the car.

Tom, I also prefer the original look. Would you please provide your cleaning recipe?
Thanks

I'll let you fellas in on a dirty little secret I use (from the swimming pool industry). Remove the grease and dirt, then spray on or dip into some 12% liquid chlorine. Start with short cycles and increase until you reach the desired effect, then rinse off thoroughly. I did try using a mix with muriatic acid once on an 86 Vette part, but wasn't happy with the result. Of course, YMMV so be sure to experiment on a spare, unusable part first.![]()
