Curious if people are running the yoko A032 on their street cars - no track use.
If so feedback and pics please.

Bob,
I've run them on my time trial car (20% street, 80% track) and I felt they were a bit too loud for the street (rumbly) and they never got warm enough on the street to generate much grip. However, I did replace them with some Toyo Proxes RA1's and they are not only quieter, they have better grip too (dry and the wet).
Hope this helps...

I have used AO32Rs on the street with occasional autocross/DE use for years. Better grip than any street tire (including SO3s) and the hard compound version wears a long time - good in the wet too. They do get noisy as they get older, but we are talking about an early 911 right?![]()

Doug - thanks for the info! I like that finish on those wheels. I bookmarked the post on pelican in which you had contributed to the economical RSR finish thread. Though I didn't go RSR my car no longer has the polished wheels.
Lars - I thought Rob's car had the A032s. Need to refer back to some of my pics of his car. BTW - that's a wicked pic!
Randy - good to know! I am leaning towards a set soon.
FWIW - I am also picking up a set of MXV4s 195/65s tomorrow for real cheap that have 3K miles on them but I don't think I am going to use them on the p car - most likely my other non p car - too good of a deal to pass up.

You'll think your wheel bearings have gone bad, but it's just the loud hum of the tires. Aside from that, they're okay. Not a great street tire, not a great track tire, but somewhere in between.
