    can someone translate the caption on the back of this photo, start number 115, Coupe des Alpes, Elford and Stone. thanks, Ernie

    "de 210 CV" = 210 cheval vapeur (horse power)

    I'm intrigued by the Durant mounting. Least I think it's a Durant. Tough to tell on my laptop.

    Talbot style, but not a talbot, methinks...I dunno...

    Yeah, it's a tough angle (at least to my eyes). If Talbot style, I can't see the mirror adjust screw or the mirror pivot deliniation from the mirror body. Probably the picture clarity. Does look like the flatter Jag/Merc fender mount base.

    After looking at the close up I think the mount is to far back to be a Talbot. I think it is a Durant.
