Looks like it was a clean car to start with. Too bad. Why? Why?

The sepia car is not too screwed up. For one that is truly a mess, note this one...

    My eyes! My eyes!

What a fright pig! It's hard to see something like that... It's certainly not a '73 (you can tell by the stamping pattern of the firewall) and the side shot looks to me like it's an SWB car. The engine compartment appears to be that of a 911 (no evidence of the 912 mounts), despite the description.

    Trying... to say... something.... nice....

    Nicely complementary seats...

For one that is truly a mess ....
    Chaps,

This looks like one of this ever increasing breed of sixth owner unfortunate 911Ts whose owner is a creative DIYer with a nil budget.
The correct financial arrangement is for the vendor/owner/butcher to send YOU the car plus,say,$1,000 to cover transfer costs.
Then you should lift the chassis plate up and rebuild the car to what it could /should be in the first place !
Too many of these once fine cars seem to be surfacing recently to sully our delicate eyes !!

    Cheers,
    Dennis.

    My two favorites comments...

The filler that was used to put on this kit is lumpy and needs to be cleaned up.

There are some serious wheel spacers on this car.

You'll all be happy know that this is a '66 912 with chassis number 351973...still trying to get the engine number and see if it's an early S...

What's the saying about a fool and his money?

That is really a shame to take such an original car like that Sepia car and put those awful turbo flares on it. The idiot who did that ought to be tar and feathered and ran out of town just for being so stupid.

He basically put about $10k into a $25k car just so he could end up with a car that's only worth $12k.

The car is a perfect candidate for a flipper. Buy someones mistake. Undo the body mods and sale for a fair profit.
