The 72 is still for sale. I'm not sure why ...![]()
Oh, I've also got a big-brake 70T (sunroof coupe) for $8,000. Just dug it out of multiple-year storage. It runs - 2.2T with Webbers and Carrera tensioner update - and is all there. Needs some minor rustoration in the front pan, but the car is ALL THERE.
The 70 would make a GREAT starting point for a hot-rod project or a daily-driver-bring-it-up-to-snuffification.
Let me know. Pictures available upon request.

Gee, maybe it's still for sale because its not very original????
I never said it was original, I said it was "fairly stock". That means that it's MOSTLY stock, not totally.![]()
The 72 is just a great driving car with good paint that has been well cared for and properly maintained by a factory-trained Porsche mechanic.

It's a '72 and has its MFI; that alone makes it worth the easking price. Get H4s, set the ride height and do something about the finish on those wheels and this car will be incredibly enviable.

Don't worry, it will sell. It looks like a well maintained car. The problem, I think, is it's a "tweener." It appears to not fit into a popular type; it is not a original survivor, it's not a restored stock car. it is not a hot rod. The person that buys it won't care that the chrome around the windows are black or the side mirror is wrong or the rims are not stock, etc... all that will matter is that it is red and goes like a bandit. That buyer will come along, but for $16,000 the first couple of buyers might go for a '85 Carrera before they go for a '72 T. Good luck, I bet it sells within a month.
