    Title & Registration Difficulities

I purchased an early 911 from a seller in Nova Scotia a couple of years ago, restored it, and sold it to someone who lives in Illinois. He is having difficulty getting it titled and registered there. I'm not sure what the problem is as it has the proper signed over Canadian title, proper import papers (it was driven into the U.S. by a friend of mine), and proper bills of sale. I never transferred the title while I had it and sent all of the paperwork along with the car.

I know that I would have no problem getting it titled and registered here in Oregon, but I need to have the car here physically. Does anyone have any ideas on how this can be resolved, short of shipping the car back here?

    Thanks for your help.

If they can title this in Alabama, well ..... let's just say there shouldn't be a problem

That's Awesome!! Imagine driving it on the streets today though with 9 of 10 vehicles an SUV or pick-up. Too scarey.

John, On my RS America race car I had to go back to the guy I bought it from and get him to sign and have notarized a bill of sale to the new owner. I was showed as receiving the payment.

I don't know if that is the issue in your case, or if the problem is relative to the import. Was the duty paid?
