    Cibie Mounting

I just bought a set of Cibie's for my SWB project. Were these always mounted on the hood with the bodies painted the color of the car, or were they sometimes mounted through-the-grill and painted black or somesuch?

    Thanks,

    John,

These were either mounted on the hood or in front of/beside the headlights, not through the grill. When these were delivered new the bodies were sprayed semi gloss black but often times were painted body color. See the silver 68 rally on my site under collection http://www.Porsport.com

    Serious firepower.
With that many lights I would have expected the outside lights to be angled out.
Do you think it would make night driving easier if the apex were lit up before you actually turned in?
Still appears you could overdrive those lights on a sharp 90 degree turn.
Or perhaps a true rally car driver always has the car drifting left or right before the turn in.

That's one way to balance out the rear weight bias!

The center ones on that car look like he wants to bird watch up in the trees at night!
