    Color trends

I always find it fascinating how certain colors come into and out of vogue. Any opinions on what colors are the "in thing" selling right now? And no, I'm not hoping somebody will say Sepia

Come on! Should have been factory racing colors. Bludt Orange
Just my $.02 worth . WoW it's been a long day. Too much primer gray today.

I'am intrested in how this thread turns out. I'am in need of a color choice here soon. Irish Green. Grand Prix White, and or Bludt Orange. Oh and the most loved around here Slate Gray .

Agin to much paint fumes today and maybe a wee too much beer tonight.

Signal Orange, Viper Green, Olive, Gold metallic...basically any color that would have been anathema in the 80s.

honestly, I would go with the original color, but if not, one of my first choices would be signal orange!!! There are tons of great period correct colors for these cars and I must say that I like most all the colors that these cars came in.

Not changing the color, just discussion, that's all. It seems like white is completely out (even though it's one of my favorites. I had a '62 356 coupe in white that was gorgeous). It also seems like Irish is starting to wane in popularity. Signal Orange is incredible, as is Viper Green. But finding cars in those colors doesn't happen so much, especially the green. Funny thing, though, I have seen two 911 recently that were originally Viper but had a repaint in a more subtle tone. Bring em back!

I'm certainly no authority on what's selling right now, but I put my money on Signal Yellow -- literally. I've got a gallon of DBC in that flavor sitting in the garage waiting for my project to be ready. :-)

Raseberry Rose - One of the most outrageous porsche colors ever and very rare, I had a 72 S that color and at the time I loathed the color, bought car at night thought it was red, but that is a different story.

Whenever you come across a car that is still painted one the unloved colors from the day, or more importantly as Kenik points out, from the eighties, they are almost always honest. I'll buy the car not the color.
