Most early serle targa?

Inspired by the targa prototyp thread I just have to know. What number has the earliest surviving targa? Here in Stockholm Sweden I know of 500 006.

please start the documenting of the early Targa's. Your having knowlege and access to two early cars is a great start. Put out the word that the Early 911S Regisrty is a good place to log on and document their whereabouts.

Like most items of interest it just takes one person to ask "what about this?

There are two Registries that started with only knowlege of a few cars:

The Early 911 Porsche 232 Registry (the 1964 and prototype registry) started with two owners coresponding and asking "anybody else out there?". During the first four years a total of 11 cars were identified. It's now been 22 years and currently it has been lucky enough to document the existence (or demize) of less than 50 of those cars in the world.

Betsi and Vern Lyle in the 1980's did the same thing and look what it has grown into... Early 911S Registry

Let's hear it for the Early Targa's. I think Eric in Seattle could help out with a few softies. And, Eade with his '68, too.
