Anybody going to the April 28th swap meet? Is it worth going to? Is there a good bar or tavern where the people on the board meet up for lunch or for a beer?
Don

What location - I know there's Hershey, PA on that day which I would normally go to, early 911 are the focus this year, however my Ma is 80 on the 28th so I'm heading back to old blighty for her birthday. As luck would have it the UK is having a Porsche Autojumble on that day at Husbands Crawley, so I'll be zipping over to that early before anyone realises I've gone ..........
Hope to bump into a few friends

Still looking for 1st Edition Carrera RS book #358.
Life is way too short to drive boring cars.
Yes Hershey.
I'm going, Can't wait. I look forward to going every year. Some years are better than others, never know what you will find. Not so many of the smaller items, as ebay has taken its toll, but wheels, seats, vendors, bigger items. A few years ago I got a NOS factory hardtop for my 87 Carrera cab, it was the only one I had ever seen. I always come back with something
Place to meet up?? I don't have any ideas, the place is just a huge parking lot, next to the park. ..anyone?

Anybody from the Philly area going to the swap? If so we could drive there together in our respective P-cars.
Don
Don,I 'm certain there's a contingent going up from DC but as usual I'm not
exactly expecting a caravan ..
Those that aren't dragging bits and pieces to sell will be driving their respective pride and joy.
I'm coming I expect but won't be fortunate to drive my SWB S , seeing how the last two Hersheys were under about 6 inches of water ..I think the AWD 993TT is in order.( sorry to mention such late equip on the early board fellas)
Hope to see you there , Bert![]()
I will be there but won't be driving the 911. It has a case of while-you're-in-there-itis. It will be cleared up some time in May however.
Would very much like to meet anyone else from the board!

I will probably head down. Coming from NePa, so heading down I-81 early Sat morning. I have my 2 seats i'm selling and stereo system.
Not sure what car yet, depends on weather and if mine is running ok after storage etc.
i will be there from about 9am until about 3pm or so.
646-202-3618 if anyone is around.
My 1st visit to hershey, a bit rushed and last minute, but looking forward to it.

Am i a vendor if i am going to sell my seats and do i have to pre-register, or do i just park amongst everyone else and open the suv with my wares or perhaps if i bring 911, park in porsche corral? i have no idea how it works.
Thanks,
Karl

Never been there Tom? I'm surprised. I think you'll enjoy it, hope it's dry though. Last time we came up it POURED! Not sure if they are running this year or not, but there is usually a vintage hill climb over near the Hershey Resort going on at the same time.Originally Posted by sithot
Karl, it's a big event so you may need to check into registering, or do you know anyone you can share space with? Since you only have a few items maybe you can kick in a few bucks toward someone else's fee.
