    Paint Number 63-6826 Pastel Blue

Does anybody have a sample or picture of this color?

    TIA

    Hi Marc,

Just in case it helps, here are some pictures I have taken of a 1970/71 Porsche Colour chart which contains all the colours, interior trim and carpet available. Pastel blue is there but has the code 2020 for a coupe.

If you have not seen one before they are very clever, and allow the user to select the colour (standard colours only) and then overlay the Porsche they would have been interested in buying.

For example here is "albert blue" on a coupe

    and in targa code 1810

    Other standard colours included

    and special order colours

    Pastel Blue was availablle in 1967 - code R5012, 1968 - 6826, 1969 - R5012 and in 1970/71 2020/321

My 71 was originally 321 Pastel Blue and I have just repainted it the original colour

    More pics here

This car appears to be a different shade in every picture, but I can assure you it is "bright" and attracts a lot of favourable comment.

    Nick:

How close is pastel blue to mexico blue? They appear to be very close.

I have not seen Pastel and Mexico Blue side by side but I still have the bonnet from my own 74 Mexico Blue Carrera somewhere so I will put the 2 together and take a snap.

Thanks for the replies guys. That looks just like the color of my car, which I had previously assumed to be a non-factory color respray.

BTW, you are right, the color is plenty bright and also gets a lot of comments. Love the wheels on that one.

    MarcS,
Can you post a pic of your pastel blue car? I am planning on painting my 67S that color. Are there any more out there?
