Early 911 get together in Southeast?

Coming up soon is the Euro Auto Festival at the BMW plant. The main show is Saturday, October 20th - http://www.euroautofestival.com/. There are a few of us headed down from the Charlotte area, it's a nice show on Saturday. Usually about 50+ Porsches (some nice 356s last year) plus big turnouts for the other European marques like BMW and Jaguar. A few exotics like Ferrari and Lamborghini, but it is mostly a German/British show. The weekend has other elements like a dinner and a rally that could make it worth the effort if you have a longer drive.

The show is usually a little short on early cars, but this would be a great chance to see how many early 911s there are in the area. It's a good central location for the Southeast. It's a nice drive up I-85 from Atlanta, just 1.5 hours from Charlotte, similar from the Asheville area. I hope some of you can make it this year.

    Tom,
I had heard about this event but wasn't sure when they did it. Unfortunately I have plans to attend Barber Motorsports Park Festival of Speed for vintage bikes. I understand there is vintage car racing at Road Atlanta the same weekend? I'll try for next year.

See you guys in Asheville some time soon?

Hey Daron, sorry you can't make it down. We have not made any mountain runs lately, but will be in touch next time we do!

Wish there was some more interest in this show. It makes for a good way to spend a Fall day. Any takers?

I'd be interested in this event next fall as long as it doesn't conflict with the vintage race at Road Atlanta (Oct. 16-19, 2008).
