Picked up a GT3rs from Tom Papadopoulos @ Autosport Designs

On Wednesday, December 12th, I had the pleasure of doing business with Tom Papadopoulos @ Autosport Designs on Long Island.

I traded my '73 RS #1189 for a new green '07 GT3rs (200 miles). I won't go into the specifics of the trade, but I will say that it was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I've had in doing business with an "Automobile Dealer"

I dealt with Tom and Antoine Crettol. Both are knowledgeable and "No bull****" type of guys.

I traveled from Baltimore and arrived 'after-hours', the lights were off at the store and they were still very accommodating in spite of the late hour.

Although I have been on his web site many times, I had never met Tom or been to his store prior to this visit.

I would highly recommend doing business with Tom Papadopoulos or Autosport Designs.

1:07 AM.......I wouldn't be able to get to sleep either if I had a GT3RS sitting in the garage!!!

Good to hear there are still some "good guys" out there.

Congrats Chuck. Great choice and classic color. It would have been tough to trade in the 73 RS though...

Congrats on the car. I think that dollar for dollar, the 997 GT3 RS is the best car Porsche has ever built. (I know. Scary words to write on this board with few folks acknowledging that Porsche actually built cars after 1973.)

But please tell me you're putting that bad boy on the track the first chance you get. I was at Streets of Willow, driving in a POC short track event, when someone arrived with his new GT3 RS. He parked and watched.

    Eric,

You might be on to me, as I have 4 sons and 4 '65 swb ........ It only seems proper. I don't want them bickering and fighting over my estate someday

You and I will have to drive the 2 GT3rs to next years' "Rally in the Valley" That should guaranty us some BIG speeding tickets in that Hillbilly Commonwealth.

    Eade,

Great photos. I will try to get some some photos of my GREEN '74RSR #9068 when the resto is finished.

It will look awesome flanked by two Green GT3rs.

By the way ............ the other day, some woman pulled up beside me in a minivan and asked me "Why in gods name would you paint that car green?"

I politely responded that it came from PORSCHE in green and if she had to ask ...... She just "Didn't get it!!!
