tom,
Please go to ebay and search on this ad number: 190186265204
This ad was for my 68-69 grille which was auctioned off successfully last Thursday, January 3rd, and shipped to Germany. (definitely in transit, as we speak) The photo and wording for this Milano Italy ad was copied from my ad.
Buyer beware...Moderators???

Tom...Not a problem. I've just reported it to Ebay. I'm glad that I was browsing the Registry site and noticed it.

You have been a bit too fast in smelling a scam (which this is not) and my friend has been a bit too easy in posting a picture of a similar item, rather than of the actual item.
Again I have no personal interest in the matter but I want to make things clear.
I was browsing on Ebay and saw the ad of my friend. I thought it would help him, and members of the Forum, to make it known that such a grille was for sale. I also told him that it would help to have more detailed pictures.
Since he keeps his spare parts at a warehouse, he replaced the picture of the grille at the time when it was mounted on his car with the picture of a similar item (which is wrong to do). As for the English text, it is not a big deal to copy the text of another user, especially when you are not a native speaker, as a long as the content is true and correct.
I can guarantee that the seller is an honest person and a real Porsche fan. He owns a 911 2.2 s targa, a 914 and a 928s. You can also check his feedback as user it1mork, mostly as a buyer of Porsche stuff.
So, it is good to be alert but we must not be too quick in drawing conclusions.
