    Original 1972 911S Oil Hose Needed

    Can any one supply original 1972 911S oil hose , for restoration? Need correct size, material. Stoddard sells hose that works but not show original type etc. any leads?

    Hello Steve,

    In case it helps all parts for the 72 oil system are available new from Porsche. I recently replaced the whole system in a 72 E. This also included the oil tank. The pipes are not an exact replica, but they are Porsche parts.

    original 72 S oil hose

    If you google cohline you'll find a million sites selling cohline hose, which is the OEM hose supplier. The only hose that I saw however that has that peculiar wrap look to it was listed as water hose, but only seemed to come in a 27mm diameter and bigger. Since you seem to have those hoses so clean, you might try reusing them. I have done so by cutting an 1/8th" off the end and reinstalling the nipples. That seems to allow for just enough of a fresh bite to make them seal again.
