1967 sports seat same as 1968?

Is the 1967 (first edition) sports seat (with adjustable back )simoular to the 1968 sports seat, only without headrest?

Do anyone have pictures of original 67 sports seats?

I am maybe going to buy a pair of 67 sports seats for my 67 911, but my concern is if they are correct for this year? I have actually seen pictures of later sports seats without headrests.

Do the bolsters etc have the same form? Did the seats always have the tilt mecanism, etc.

I am greatful for any information on this matter. And pictures would be just perfect!!!! Pictures can be mailed to kjelltb@netcom.no

    Thanks

My information is that headrests were available, but they were the earlier
356 type which attached to the back of the seats. 68- version headrests
attached directly to the top of the seats.

Here is a picture of my (non-headrest) 67 type sport seats.

    rarity or valuation differences

Is there a sense if the 67, or the 68 seats are more rare or valuable. I have a 67S and recently purchased 68 sport seats to use while I offer to trade for correct 67 seats

I guess the value on the 67 or the 68 seats would be fairly close, especially if the only difference is the head rest. I am considering both types for my car. The 67 without head rest because it would be the "right one", and 68 with HR because of the safety aspect and because it looks good. I am changing my one circuit brake cylinder to a later "non correct" two circuit because it is safer as well.

But the 67 seat is rarer i think, and not very often seen at ebay.
    And rare=expensive??

Were the 67 sportseat already available with corduroy in those days?

The '67 and '68 sport seats, pictures attached of both.
I've never had the pleasure of touching a '67 myself, so I can't compare it to the after marked model '68 set I have.
Since the '67 does not have the headrest tubes in the seat back, there might be a difference in thickness and/or hight of the backrest.

That pair of seats (on the bottom) belong to me, thank you very much.

They came out of the "other" Jennings 911-S that is still being raced to this day. They are almost "as new" since they were not in the car for very long.

Shortly, Shorty may see them but for now we both like the houndstooth stockers.

Here are some photos of everything.

This Recaro seat were offered on ebay Germany a couple of years ago, but it look kind of different to the early Porsche Sports seats I have seen? Is it a very early, non-Porsche Recaro or has it been upholstered the wrong way? It was listed as a 67 seat if I remember right.

Sorry for bad images by the way, just those from the ebay auction..
(I think it was sold for at least 4-500 Euros)

PS: You are very fortunate to own these seats (the x Jennings seats)... They are just superb!

A lot of the pictures I saved in my "recaro" folder are not my seats. (I wish they were) So apologies for posting your seats
During the past years I've collected some more pics that can be found here:

Just some reference material for my recaro resurrection project that is in another post. http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=18815
