Recaro Rallye bucket seats - base/runner info.

Looking for any info/advice on the correct bases/runners for the Recaro Rallye bucket seats, for both the "race seat 1965 - 1973" seat and the "with adjustable backrest 1965 - 1973" seat.
Did they use the tilting base as used on the various period Recaro "Sports" seats fitted to S/RS/optioned?
Was there a base specific to these seats? Or, given they were mainly in a competition environment was it anything that was around.
Someone posted an extract from the Recaro website of the page displaying the seats in period a while back (current Recaro site only seems to have current product detail) however this only showed the seats/runners.
Most period photos of the ST/RSR's etc I have seen don't show the under seat area, understandably!
    Any help appreciated.

    Tim,

"Essentially",... the tip brackets and runners from the 67/68 Recaro "Sports" seats are the same ones used on the period Rallye buckets seats. I've found some detail differences in the crossing pieces of the tip brackets over the years, but nothing noteworthy as long as it was intended to fit into a Porsche.

So,... a Rallye bucket from 65 to 73 used the 67/68 sport seat runners and tip brackets. Note that there were some seats that didn't use the tip bracket and they just used a cross bar that was threaded to accept the runners. Those seats were typically the light weight RS buckets from my experience.

    just my .02...

I have a seat question - probably more directed at Eric and Andy. I have the Recaro non-reclining buckets in my hotrod, but they have one small difference than what is shown in the parts manual. My seats do not have tilt brackets and don't have the slider release knob like is shown in the photo. The fore and aft release knob is actually a bar you pull up that is way under the front of the seat. Kind of like the Vintage Seats style, but it does not stick out in front of the seat cushion like the VS seats.

These seats are the real mccoy and are totally original and in almost perfect condition. I am just somewhat baffled as to what year they would have been used. My 69 parts manual shows the seat with the right side release knob just like the photo above. Could these be earlier? They also have six pretty little grommet holes in the back - three up the left side and three up the right side. Any ideas as to the exact year and application for these puppies?

    Thanks.
