Is that the correct tilt base?

I have no problem with the theory that all men are created equal.
But after that moment you are on your own and nobody owes you a damn thing.

Can these seats, in this condition possibly be worth $5,500? Are these any more valuable than a pair of 73 double lockers, assuming condition of both is the same?

Yes, My understanding is that the 67S sport seats were made for only part of the production year (I can't confirm...but it's good heresay!). These cars from what I have seen were rarely optioned with these seats. So, for the guy who is doing a 67S.....they are very difficult to find. There is the option to recontour the 68 sport seats which are very similar.

    Thanks Eric,

I tossed the guy what I thought was a fair offer based on having to re-do the seats. He did not post a price previously, then after my offer he posted the number. Needless to say, I was suprized.

    Best,

    Chris

    Seats

I was thinking we were looking at a 67 seat on the left and a 68 on the right, so you have already answered my question, Eric. Thanks.

Here are mine on my 67S, Bought these in very rough shape 10 yrs ago. Much less paid but almost equal when redone with 67S inflation.

    Eric,

Please educate me/ us re. the 67 tiltbase.

I agree that the lower part of the base seems to be correct, however it's the upper part that has my interest.

    1. the cross bar on this upper frame seems to be on a different location?
    2. the tilting handle 'and all that' is missing?
    3. it seems that they are welded togeter? (but that can be restored?)

I have never seen a (66)67 frame in person. If the 67 frame is the same as 68, than this seems to be a modified frame?

Please share your insights w/ us.

    Regards,

    Richard

that's correct Eric, the exception would be a European delivered 68 with sport seat option would also be the same seat. I just had this conversation yesterday with swbsam, and he is the "seat police". the tilt bracket is also the same. I have those exact seats in my 68 softie ( European delivered) car and Sam "learned me"
