Thread: SWB body parts anyone?

  1. #1

    SWB body parts anyone?

I have a 68 body with some parts that are ok on the outside with rather rusted hole-y (is that a word?) pans.

The passenger fender looks nice, the driver fender has a big dent but the bottom half that usually bubbles looks good. Doors are decent, rear quarters are pretty nice if you need to replace the 70's era flares someone welded onto your car... Full set of one year only anodized window frames, rear taillight buckets look ok so far, I'll look behind the lights this weekend. LWB seats are available, no headrests though, Guages are 912. I will loo this weekend at the rear seat buckets and the rear panel under the back window.

I would like to gauge if there is enough interest in the non bolt-on parts above to cut them from the car and if anyone needs the bolt on parts. Large parts are only available for pickup in the SF bay area or, if prepaid, for delivery to Costa Mesa for the swap in 3 weeks.

Alternatively (preferably), the whole rolling chassis is available, but I would like to keep the chrome wheels. Price would depend on what other small parts stay on the car.

I will post pictures of all the small parts after the weekend if the whole thing doesn't sell. if you are interested in any small parts, you can email or PM and I'll start a first come first served list.

I would be interested in the dash aluminum trim plate by the radio provided it has not been enlarged and it can be removed without damage.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
