    CDI diff?

What is the difference between these two CDI's? Both have the same numbers but look a little bit different on the front of the case. The shiny one is a spare and the other is out of my 71S. BTW, look what a glass blaster cabinett can do! The shiny one is a spare I had and it looked much worse then the one out of my 71S.

Glass blasted the fan to, just had to add a few pictures. I will use tectyl or gibbs on it.

Sorry, can't comment on the differences of the two CDIs. I just thought I would comment on how nice the items look after glass blasting them. Wow. Also, to say greetings from a fellow Norski (blood line anyway). Last name of Hansen and come from a long line of Pedersen's.

You just gave me an idea for my CDI and fan blade - thanks.

    CDI differences

John, there used to be a local gentleman here that rebuilt these boxes for my shop and a couple other local ones, I'm afraid he is no longer with us, but I always remember him saying that the early box, which I think is your shiny one with the plastic blob on the front, was not rebuildable because there was some electrical part that was unavailable, but the later style, the dirty one, had a minor electrical part difference that made it rebuildable. So while they both worked equally well there was some updated componetry differences from one to the other.

Hi guys and fellow Norski, thanks for the feedback. I will test the spare today, hopefully its not crap if it cant be rebuilt. I will use the Gibbs treatment on the fan as recomended.
