    Steering wheel leather stitcher wanted

I found an old MOMO Monza steering wheel that needs to be re-covered. I usually like to keep the original leather on an old wheel but this leather must have been outside for a while as it is totally baked. The metal still looks perfect. Would like to find someone who can duplicate the double horizontal factory stitching, using some nice old, bomber jacket type leather with a nice patina. I want it to still look old. So, I also have to find some nice old black leather too.

I spoke with a guy in my area in New Jersey who says he can do it but doesn't want to because he says he has to charge too much. Says it would take a day so he would have to charge between $300-400.

I imagine there might be someone out there who does this kind of thing in their spare time for extra cash. Maybe someone who is retired and enjoys working with leather. Or, there is someone who will do it for less than $300-$400.

    Thanks a lot folks,
    Mark
