Anyone running 7R's on the front of their car?
What size spacer would be needed to avoid rubbing on the inner body work?
Thanks fellas![]()

Cam, you have to figure there's a 1 inch difference in offset between the regular 7x15s and the 7Rs. People use the regular 7s on the long wheelbase cars all the time, so a 1 inch spacer might do it, depending on your tire choice. I've experimented using stacked washers or short lenghts of tubing slipped over at least 3 of the wheel studs to find the right spacer dimension.
Here's a good chart-

I have r's on all 4 corners of a 67S SWT. I bought them from a board member that had the 4 wheels with spacers and tires on a 2.2S coupe. I intended to split the set and put a pair on the rear of two seperate cars, but things changed. I used the same spacers that are: rears have 15mm spacers and the front have 18MM spacers. The quarter panels are not rolled or modified in any way. The tires are 225/50 Bridgestones all the way around. It sure handles a hell of a lot better than it used to. Interesting look on a SWB.

Thanks guys
I thought an an inch or so would be the go.
It would appear from searches that adapters must be used rather than just spacers for this sort of width....? Or can I just used two spacers together and extra long wheel studs?
Cheers

Hester (a 1970 911S) has 911R's at all four corners (and one in the trunk). Dick Barbour (the dealer) originally used long studs and 26mm spacers with 185/70's. When I put new tires on her this Spring (195/65 in the front (and the spare) and 205/65 in the rear), I used 15mm spacers. They look like this:
