    Zenith Carb Linkage?

There are no preset lengths for the linkage rods. You start at the gas pedal, the throttle rod through the tunnel must be adjusted so the bell crank arm that has the rod going to the engine bellcrank is horizontal when the tunnel rod is attached. To do this the return stop for the bell crank at the pedal assembly must be perpendicular to the centerline of the car. The throttle rod to the engine bellcrank must be adjusted so that the back edge of the engine bellcrank is vertical. The carburetors must be set as to idle mixture, synchronization and idle speed first, then the drop links are adjusted for length so as to not have any pretension between the cross bar and the throttle arm on the carbs. Then when all is done you adjust the throttle stop on the floorboard so the pedal hits it as full throttle is reached.
