The car sounds wonderful, but the above description should be revised. A car with $42k in recent resto receipts cannot be described as "all original". Original and restored are two separate things.

Can it be the car received a $42k restoration to original factory specification?

What Gary meant to say is that the car was recently restored - by TLG - to 100% original specifications with no compromises on Porsche original equipment. It is original ...not unrestored.

New paint, new interior, engine not rebuilt but it was cosmetically refreshed, serviced, and recieved a MFI pump refresh from Gus about a month ago, suspension refurbished, wheels refinished, etc.

Everything works ... the car runs like a top.

You shouldn't have to wade through a two-hundred word, un-punctuated sentence to figure out what "original" means. How hard is it to use a couple of commas and periods? Have we become that lazy?

So now we have "original, not unrestored" and "restored, not original." Which one is better I wonder?

As a Grammar Freak it bugs the hell out of me to read the original post, but when it comes to internet forums I've resigned myself to the fact that some people just don't do well with spelling, punctuation and typing.

I'm a fan of the latter because it leaves room to wiggle - different motor, different suspension, different color, etc. The former is a bit too small a pigeon-hole for me.

    Queen's English?

I went to school in England so I can say as the resident expert, on language only, that the car is flat out beautiful and someone is going to break my daughter's heart when they buy it.

I'm English. And now American. I went to school in England and America also. I haven't seen the car, but am sure if Christian and Marco say its nice, then its nice. And you all talk and write funny here... or is y'all?

Christian, aren't you expert on residences, rather than a resident expert?
    Cheers,
