This looks like the same car that was on Samba, a few months back. (Asking $100k back then, as I recall.)

Thought it was the same one, but was not sure.

Worldwide exposure on ebay and the current economy will dictate the outcome.

If that green "X-Sithot" '70 S that 2 Shores Classic Cars really sold for 90k, then this car should bring $150,000.

I understand this was an expensive restoration.

    Comps

There is a very nice looking 69S out of Toronto that has been on the market for a few months. It has been on Pelican and the PCA site as well.It just had a price reduction of 8K to 62,000.As nice as this 71S is,I find it hard to see over 100,000 for it.If you are using current comps, how do you reconcile the difference? The market will dictate if it sells, not who may have been the prior owners. Here is a link: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?t=428186

Well said, Tom. Blasting this to the "world" markets will set the mark for value; not just the words of the "choir".
I watch motorcycle prices closely too and have seen a precipitous drop off no matter what they are. Ducatis, Mv's, Vincents and others have all taken the back seat to the economy.
Summer 2007 was the high point. And, as our govenment recently admitted, we've been in a recession since December 2007. Sorry, I knew that already guys. What are we paying you for anyway?

    My best,

    Tom

Yes and no to this............Yes the market always speaks, No ownership matters. Extreme example to make a point would be McQueen's S though I believe his 76 turbo only sold for $120,000, which is still 4X what a similiar 76 turbo I believe owned by Vasek Polak sold for last year. That 69S has always been a tugger for me, it went on the market at the beginning of the market cooling, poor timing.

This car no matter how well dressed is late to the party.

Has anyone gone out to Atlanta and seen or driven this vehicle? And does anyone know 'Jerry' or some of the circumstances of this sale? I believe I saw this same vehicle on Samba, just a few months ago; is this the same car?
