    WTB 6 x 15 steelies

I've got a 67 normale and would like to keep the steelie-wheel look, but also would like to have more than 4.5 inches touching the ground! I'm looking for 6 inch or 6.5 inch steel wheels....<OR> anyone with any experience taking their 4.5 inchers out to 6 inches? who does that work? expensive?

    thx

I bought 4 6J15's steelies from a Porsche recycler. They were spare tire rims in SC's and Carrera's. I think they were about $50 a wheel. Cheap but heavy. An alternative that is light weight are billet aluminum from West Coast Haus in 6X15 for a little North of $600 wheel or 5 1/2 X15 spares from a 86 only 851 (944 Turbo), but then you would have to paint them.
    Currently:
    67 3.6 Rocket "Silver"
62 T6 Outlaw Coupe "ole Yellow"
65 F100 Custom Cab Flairside Shortbed

Gone but not forgotten in last 2 years:
    67S Concours King
    67 912 Vintage Racer
    68 912 Flipper
    83 911SC
    93 Mo30 968

    too many cars before that
