    hello

Was it possible in 1972 to obtain Recaro sport seats in blue color ? ( leatherette, leather, blue corduroy tartan )

    Alan thanks for your pictures

Do you remember the material used on the seats (leather, leatherette) ?

    Hi,

Those were leather, but I have also had a car with blue "standard seats" which was leatherette.

I know this is an old thread but I came across it while doing a search on interiors. Does anyone have any pics of 1972 red interiors? Was red corduroy available for MY1972?

    Thanks.

Will the real TAN MADRAS please stand up. NOT brown but tan. On pg. 22 or so posts 219 and 220 of show your seats, are photos of my original tan madras factory seats as confirmed by the original owner who bought the car in 11/72 from Delcar in Varese, Italy. A factory dealer. The car was special ordered for inventory by Delcar to put on the floor, not by a customer. This has come up several times in the past and the tartans shown are later or something. Tan was available but the book shows only brown. To be exact my seats are the two tone cinnamon vinyl with the tan madras that you see. The pattern you see is ROW ONLY! Never available in the US. I have seen blue and red in the same pattern. Kind of similar to a Stewart in pattern with the different colors but not exact. Also interesting that the headrests are D type and also colored to match the background of the inlays. Stunning in person with the the aubergine paint on the car. A 73S. The photos in my old posts were pre redo by Tony and crew at Autobahn. They look spectacular now. This must have been a limited run of this pattern in tan, blue and red, because I have only seen two others in my Porsche experience. ROW only.

In the background are two of my eight speedsters. Red #7 and ivory#8 with the Glaspar ht. The seats look washed out. They are vivid in person.
