For sale, 1967 912 Engine, recently rebuilt. Complete as you see in the photos (trans and starter not included). Removed from a running car in January, 2009.

This engine was in a 37,000 mile 912 chassis which broke a cylinder in 1970 and was parked. Prior owner had the engine rebuilt at Dutcher Auto Engineering in Greenfield, MA.
-Crank measured standard, polished, new bearings
-Valve job (heads not flycut)
-Replaced broken piston and cylinder
-Replaced piston rings
-Replaced gasket set
-Repainted engine tin
-Engine assembled.

Currently has about ONE hour since the rebuild, rings haven't seated yet.

This would be an ideal engine for a 912 restoration or 356 enthusiast who wishes to preserve an original engine.
