    Oliver,
Are these original stacks, or bored over T or E stacks? I believe the S stacks are 012. If they are original, I will take them, as long as they are not broken or cracked anyware.

they do look like 2.4S, I can barely see the 012.

question: what number did the 2.7 stacks for the 911/83 engine carry? the bore ought to be a little bigger than a 2.4S, no?

Don't think so Richard.... As far as I've learned there is only about a handfull of parts differences between the two motors and the stacks isn't one one them.......

    thanks, Chuck
looking at the specs, they share same valve size of 40/40 and the 2.4S has 36/36 int/ex ports vs RS 36/35
indeed these can be used for an RS spec. without mods. I wondered about that and always forget to check a real RS's stack numbers.
If there is a separate number for RS stacks that would make them exclusive and needed for a correct # matching resto.

The only differance between a 73S and a 73 RS is the pistons and cylinders, and a recalibrated injection pump with a 019 tag on it. The ignition distributor has differant curve, but you couldn't tell the differance if you has a S distrib. in there.

Are those two yellow caps on the left throttle body plugging vacuum ports? Like for a Sportomatic?
