Hi all!
Please let me have your thoughts on what this engine seems to be, based on these pictures.
The engine number is 623#### so it should be an F series 1973 2,4 E engine. But with A LOT of modifications!!!
Can you please help me spot them...?

Looks like a standard 3.0 SC engine.
You'll probably find the engine number is actually 628XXXX - engine type no 930/04 from 1978 ...

Why another big secret about the full serial number? A 1973E does not have CIS I believe. Also a 1973 CIS engine does not have alunimum intake runners, they have steel runners.

Vasco,
Maybe I'm mistaken because the photo of the serial # is fuzzy, but the serial # stamping seems to be missing the * before the '6'. Is the other one at the end of the sequence missing also?
Can you get a clear photo of the stamping?
