    Red Book Info Request

I recently did a Google search for chassis number 9113600686.

The results returned a Google Books link to Patrick Paternie's "911 Red Book" with a specific page of 36.

    Here's what it says: "Prototypes were 9113600019 R1, 9113600020 R2 ... 9113600686 R7, and 9113600974 R8."

My question is, "What are the prototypes being referred to and what do the "R1, R2, etc." designations stand for?"

The only picture of #686 that I found was here: http://www.my911carrerars.com/known_...sis=9113600686

However, I find it difficult to believe that that particular Brumos car is the car that I'm searching for. ANY help would be appreciated.

    Ps:

I'm also looking for any information or history - over and above what can be found the The RS Book - on chassis number 9113600097.

This is a sort of "Pet Project" of mine at the moment.

    Thanks, fellas.

A Yellow 2.8 liter that was not sold at Pebble Beach in 2002?

    Thanks Karl.

Chassis #686 seems to have an interesting history.

Info on #97 is turning out to be nothing more than auction results and For Sale listings so far.
