It can be a prototype but the adjustable shock towers might not since those didn't came into production cars until late 65.

Here's a picture of the VIN from the ad:

Stamp dos not look to bad, but as Richard points out, the shock towers are wrong. What about the indentation for the engine lid release? Lets hear from the experts!

Were there other prototypes made in 1963 or 1964 other than the original 13 that he missed?
Yes, it could very well be a prototype, and the highest # on my list.
However, the next highest # was used to rebody a crashed car, and I'm guessing was painted at the factory about 1967 due to the paint code. So it would seem that in the early years the prototype series numbers were used for replacement chassis. This would mean that all bets are off regarding body characteristics. It would also mean that it probably is not an experimental prototype.

Yup, what Dave Said. Two maybe three years after the 901 cars.
Two known cars number 13 433 was built as (****corrected information) a mechanic training car. 13 433 has the prototype shape of the 911R rear fenders so that would place it about 1966-1967-ish. (****corrected information) 13 440 is factory replacement body with a prototype series number.
So three special cars later this car was made. A training car (***edited question) or a replacement body?
The factory will have to confirm this car and it's build date. They have acknowledged very little info on some of the previous cars.
