    Vendors for factory anodizing

    I have a fan housing strap I would like to have cleaned up and re anodized. Can anyone refer me to a vendor that does this at a high level?

    John-
    The fan strap is steel, so it is either painted or cad/yellow zinc plated, depending on the vintage. What year is this for?

    That strap is made of steel, and is plated, not anodized.

    Plating tends to have large minimum orders, so I would send to Eric at PMB Performance (Neunelfer, our resident caliper restorer) and have him do it with one of his other orders. I've found the work to be high quality. USPS flat rate boxes are cheap shipping.

    I thought is was anodized. So plating it is. Any names or companies I can call. It is for my 1970 S.

    John,

    Is this for the RS or the S? If it is for the RS and the strap has 1 bolt (a later third series will probably have one bolt) have it plated, but if it is for the S or your RS has 2 bolts then it should be painted black.

    If it's for your '70S, then it should be painted black.

    John, I agree that it should be painted black but if you decide you want to have it plated PM me. Im having a group of stuff done (either yellow chromate or clear zinc) and Ill get it done for you no charge as long as you pay for shipping.
