    911R type rear QTR windows-

Since http://www.spektrproducts.com/ seems to be out of business (and late at delivering other peoples parts) does anyone else have a source for the rear vented quarter windows? I would really like a set that fits into the rear frames.

    Any leads?

I found http://www.plastics4performance.com but they are over the pond. I'm looking for a US supplier.

    Bump

I'm also interested in these, also prefer keeping the original frames.

I've seen them in the GT Racing catalog, both glue in and ones that fit the original frame.

If push truly comes to shove...

What's to stop Chad (or anybody else) from looking into fabbing up a set? Of course you'd have to do some sort of "production run" to offset/justify all the costs associated with fabbing a custom part. The encouraging aspect of this is; just how much of a challenge is it to re-create a FLAT plexiglass part? (since we're talking about the version that fits into the qtr window frames) As I re-call the way the windows were originally made, the big challenge would be to get those vents and the drain tray "Just Right"...

    These are just thoughts...

I hadn't heard that about Spekter being OBE...times is tough - (ask me how I know... )

    anyway - Happy Holidays!
    cheers

I was thinking about that, but I would need a sample. There is a Plastic/Lexan manufacturing place down the street.

We are in the process of evaluating a local manufacturer for these. They have our sample and we expect to see some test parts by mid january. Our intention is to have the correct glue in version (most difficult) first, then the 1/4 glass (cut down) replacement next. This will be followed by the flanged glue in back window and slide up door windows.

We already have the front fixed door windows with bubble vents on the shelf

I totally forgot my dad's car has them- I'm going to go and burgler them off his car. I will then take them to the place down the street give me a quote to make a few sets.

While you guys are doing some research, would it possible to have these R windows done in a slightly tinted material? I like the idea of tinted side glass but would need a full set done in the same material.
In any case I'm still interested in a set of R windows (with rain tray) that will fit the original frames.

    regards
