Nice! I'd say this German word in the video title translates very well: "Soundorgie"![]()
The "Rangliste" shown at 4:42 or so puts it 4th, behind a 2.4 911S by three or four tenths, and 1.5 seconds behind a Simca 1200 S? What were they measuring? A 20 second slalom?
Did you notice the paint burn-thru on the rear fender at the Dunlop sticker a few inches above the fender lip?

The Simca with the best time is shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9vei...eature=related
According to the video, it's owned and driven by the German autocross and hillclimb champion and has very short gears - perfect for this super-tight course.
The RSR video says the car is set up for the street, and when they mounted the Goodyear tires for the track test they had to raise the ride height to prevent rubbing (though they weren't entirely successful, were they?!).
Yeah- that car is way to soft. Now I'm a little scared of my 275/50 R15's going on my STI'm hoping I'll be ok with 22mm/31mm torsion bars

This RSR is built from a genuine RS, now has a 3.0L engine with a Kugelfisher MFI, approx 240 bhp. Soft set-up for the street hence the lifting of the front wheels in those tight curves. Ze 'Sound' too load for the street though...

Not sure why you think the front wheel lift is caused by soft suspension. I would think it's based on suspension travel. Here is a shot of our car going through turn 11 at Infenion. At that time I had less than 2" of front suspension travel.
Also, the stiffer the suspension the less adhesion you will have based on the tire skipping over the unevenness of the road. Just my .02.

Awesome looking car on the video.
The front lifting appears to be aggravated by the diagonal rear suspension collapsing.
The self clearancing rear fenders (good sticker placement) have worn through from tire contact, tough on tires.
Lot's of pedaling in 2nd and 3rd, might be tough to horse it around a high speed sweeper.
