    Need Help IDing Transmission Numbers

    Hey guys, I need help figuring out what transmission is in my hotrod. Dave C. could not find this in his database. The fellow that built the case told me it was from a 912, but beyond that I don't know what it is.

    Case casting is 901.301.101.0R
    Number 902/05
    Serial # 5191022

    Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks.

    I don't have the book at hand but do believe that is a 69 912 5 speed.

    1 = 5 spd
    9 = 69
    1022 = serial

    BTW it's a mag case?

    Thank you Richard. It is for a 69, so the fact that the transmission is a 69 makes sense. I am not sure whether it is Al or mag. The 902/05 number and serial # were stamped into the very bottom of the transmission case (i.e. facing the floor).

    Thank you davep! I will say though that the gear ratios are probably not AFMSX. Dave C. calculated for me (based on a photo of the dash) that my 5th is most likely a ZA. Be interesting to know what the other gears are...

    Yeah, the trans serial number only tells what was in the box when the factory made it. Once delivered, all bets are off.
