    Wow. 964 S Turbo

I know it's a tad off topic as relates to long hood cars....but WOW...didn't anybody else notice Sam Cabiglio's Black 964 S (slope nose) Turbo parked in front of the Hilton on Saturday? That car was unbelievable. And they ONLY made 40 of 'em. 3500 original miles....Very nice car (he said, slipping further and further to the dark side.....)

I think I want one. Do I have a sickness that cannot be cured?

Every time I look at Sloan's site I am dumbfounded by the low-mileage Porsches of all vintages in his inventory. A chacun son gout, but it amazes me that people special-order such tasty and powerful Zuffenhausen thoroughbreds and then put them in a climate-controlled baggie for 15 years. I just had to increase the agreed mileage with my insurer on all my cars because I can't stop driving them!

Keep in mind the basic geographical differences between New York City / New Haven CT, where Sloan is, and out here in California...The damp, mostly humid eastern climate lends itself real well to encouraging people to keep cars wrapped in baggies most of the time - especially during the winter months. Ergo, low mileage cars abound back there...

Stacy - I had the pleasure of driving a 930 S Slope very similar to yours recently...I totally get why you have one.

Pictured below is "the" 964 S while it was still at Sloan's place...

    Cheers

As nice as the Turbo Ss are, I like the standard 964 3.6 Turbo better. Something about the stand-up headlights and wide fenders...
