I wonder how much less the converted cars are worth now that you can bring in a "Pure" non bastardized car ?

This is the question! I think it will have made a marked difference.

Edmunds notably edited the original text to fit their house style, so I dunno how much of my between-the-lines subtext remains. But that rather thorny issue was raised!

I like the Canepa 959S with the power and suspension upgrades.

given a chance, would any of us who cant really afford a 959, sell everything else to have one? or is a 959 a completely collectible above all else that it is(a driving machine)?

obviously it was Porsche's pinnacle at one point. would be cool if somebody somewhere made a 959 their daily driver!

those that have driven one please comment

I have some German friends who run their 959s regularly. You have to run them or they start to seize up, and you don't want to be paying the bill to unseize them! Lots of 959s still come back to the factory to be serviced; the head of Porsche Classic told me the other day that some do quite high mileages between services (5-6,000 kms), but 1,000 kilometres is a lot for others.

Given the choice of lottery money buying me a Carrera GT or a 959 I would take the coupe. Though then there is the GT2 RS...
